Alamosa resident Teresa Linda Marquez, 70, gained her angel wings on January 10, 2022. She passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side. Born on August 22, 1951 in Greeley, Colorado, the beloved daughter of Melecio Sandoval and Victoria Salazar Sandoval. Teresa loved to go to bingo, dancing, shopping and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter Ida (Gari) Sandoval-Gatchell of Thornton, CO; sons Jeremiah (Monique) Marquez of Monte Vista, CO; Melvin (Trish) Sandoval of Frederick, CO; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sisters Irene Ortega of Questa, NM; Edith (Tom) Steele of Kapolei; HI; Jenny Mondragon of Northglenn, CO; Marie Perea of Westminster, CO; brothers Johnny Sandoval of Ely, NV; Dennis (Eva) Sandoval of Erie, CO. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents Melecio and Victoria Sandoval,  husband Miguel "Larry" Marquez, brothers Lucas Sandoval, Jose Sandoval Jr., and one sister Martha Atencio.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 1-4 p.m at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa. A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 9:30a.m at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. A  Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00 A.M also at Sacred Heart Church. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be held at a later date.
