Timothy Joseph Montoya, 59, of Pueblo, Colorado sadly left us unexpectedly on November 22, 2022. He was born in San Francisco, California on October 9, 1963, to Lucy LeBlanc and Joe Montoya. He was raised in Monte Vista, Colorado.

Tim was a good Dad and Grandfather, and even though his time with his daughter and his family was not long he blessed them in many ways and gave them a lifetime of memories they will cherish.  He was a generous and humble man who would give his shirt from his back to a stranger. He was kind and had a way of connecting with people, making friends wherever he would go. He was an artist and put his special touch on gifts, pictures, and cards he made for his family. Family was everything to him.

Tim is survived by his daughters Misty (Joel) Palacios of Center, CO and Tesheena Montoya of Albuquerque, NM; two grandchildren Jasmine and Ismael Palacios of Center, CO; sisters Juanita Montoya and Yolanda Ortega,  brother Michael Ortega all of Monte Vista, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tim is reunited in heaven with his mother, Lucy, and his father, Joe; his sisters Lala Ortega and Cathy Rivera; his Godson and nephew Jose Jr. Acosta and nephew Juan Acosta; Maternal Grandparents Manuel and Isabella LeBlanc; Paternal Grandparents Juanita and Julio Montoya; and Uncle and Godfather Steve LeBlanc.

A Vigil service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 6 p.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista.  A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 10 a.m., also at Saint Joseph Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Workers Union Cemetery in Monte Vista.
