TSA Precheck is now in Alamosa

ALAMOSA — Travellers looking to fly out of the San Luis Valley Regional Airport can now get the Transportation Security Administration’s Precheck in Alamosa.

Gigi Dennis, Alamosa County Administrator, was quick to point out that this new addition to the area is a big step forward for local flyers.

“A person used to have to go to DIA or Colorado Springs to get this done, but there is a local company that will send in the paperwork and does the fingerprinting in Alamosa,” she said.

Dennis further noted that the TSA’s Colorado Springs branch recently closed its office, so this is added convenience for anyone in Southern Colorado.”

To apply, an individual can fill out the paperwork at https://www.tsa.gov/precheck, then proceed to make an appointment or walk into the local office.

The cost for Precheck is $85 and covers membership for five years.

Dennis said, “It speeds up security, and you don’t have to remove your shoes, laptop, liquids, etc.”

She called the process “Fast, easy, and convenient.”
