Two fundraisers to benefit AHS cross country program

ALAMOSA – There will be two fundraisers to benefit the Alamosa High School cross country program this summer.

On July 16, there will be a poker tournament at the Colorado Farm Brewery at 2070 County Road 12 South. The pre-registration donation is $100 and only 100 seats will be sold.

The doors open at 5 p.m. and the event begins at 6 p.m. There will be door prizes, free food, rebuys, and add ons. There will grand prizes awarded to final table.

On Aug. 13, there will be a color fun run at Cole Park. It will include a 5K run/walk and a kids run.

The cost is $25 per person and $15 to children ages 12 and younger. The first 200 paid participants will receive a t-shirt and a goodie bag.

The 5K begins at 10 a.m. with the kids run to follow. Packet pick-up begins at 9 a.m.
