UU’s to hear about SPLC

ALAMOSA — The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Alamosa invites you to join us on Sunday, March 10th at 10:30 a.m. Judy Burrell will introduce the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).  Founded in 1971, its goals are to Fight Hate; Teach Tolerance; Seek Justice; and Maintain the Civil Rights. Their goals intersect with many of the UU principles such as our affirmation of justice, equity and compassion in human relations. We’ll hear about SPLC’s priorities for 2019 and what individuals can do. See splccenter.org.

Also, special music will be provided by Sharman Plesner and her violin - here for a visit from France. Sharman is the daughter of Joy Plesner of Alamosa. Prior to the service, join the interfaith 2nd Sunday breakfast at 9:30, this month hosted by the Alamosa Presbyterian Church. The UUs meet in the community room on the lower level of 330 San Juan. Children’s activities also begin at 10:30. Call Jan Oen at 719-480-4771.
