Valley native retires from United States Air Force

VALLEY — Alamosa native and Monte Vista High School graduate SMSgt Daniel Bosché is retiring from the U.S. Air Force after 26 years of faithful service.

Bosché was born in Alamosa and is a 1992 graduate of Monte Vista High School. He and wife Jennie have been married for 23 years and have a daughter Chloe and son Tyler.

SMSgt Bosché entered the Air Force in September 1992. He graduated from the Security Police Academy in December of that year and also attended the Air Force Ground Defense School, Ft. Dix, New Jersey in 1993.

His background includes various duties in security, law enforcement, force protection and air base defense operations. He also has served overseas in multiple locations in support of Operations Restore Hope, Southern Watch, Northern Watch, Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom, Iraq Freedom and New Dawn. Deployments include to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, Turkey and Jordan with numerous TDYs CONUS and OCONUS.

May 1995-September 1999 — SRT Leader, Operations Controller & Deployment Manager, 15 SFS Hickam AFB, Hawaii

September 1999-November 2001 — NCOIC Training, 85 SFS Keflavik Naval Air Station, Iceland

November 2001-September 2006 — Flt Sec Controller, Missile Security/GCS Instructor & Flight SGT, 91 SFT Minot AFB, ND

September 2006-September 2007 — Flight Sgt. 51 SFS Osan AFB, ROK

September 2007-March 2011 — Security Forces Liaison & Military Deception NCO, 388 FW Hill AFB, Utah

March 2011-October 2013 — Plans & Programs Superintendent, Logistics Superintendent and Flight Sgt., 75 SFS Hill AFB, Utah
