ALAMOSA – The 2021 San Luis Valley high school football players and coach of the year were announced on Thursday.

After leading Centauri High School to its first ever state championship, Mason Claunch has been named the Valley Player of the Year.

Another Falcon, Baron Holman was named the 11-man Player of the Year.

There were Co-Players of the Year for 6-man and 8-man football. Sharing the award are Sanford’s Kelton Gartrell and Sierra Grande’s Isiah Chairez.

Centauri’s Kyle Forster was named the Valley’s Coach of the Year. He will receive a custom football.
