Although still under investigation by the Colorado State Patrol, the extreme wind conditions on Tuesday, April 17, apparently were to blame so no one was cited, and fortunately there were no serious injuries, in this multi-vehicle pile up on Highway 17 south of Saguache County Road G. There may have been as many as seven vehicles involved. All vehicles were northbound. The crash was weather related due to the blowing dirt across the highway, which lead to zero visibility at times.
