Vickie A. Chavez, 67

Vickie Chavez passed away on November 5, 2017 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was born on September 11, 1950 in Leadville, CO to Leo and Ella Quintana. She married Joe E Chavez on December 16, 1967. They raised their family in San Antonio, Colorado.

Vickie spent her time with her husband traveling all over the United States on their Goldwing and making memories with their friends. She loved spending time with her family while camping and at wrestling tournaments. She was very devoted to the Womens Auxiliary and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren while making tortillas for them.

Vickie leaves her husband Joe of 50 years; two sons, Chad and Pattie Chavez of Alamosa, CO; Joe Chavez of San Antonio, CO; and one daughter Bernice and Jay Chacon of Littleton, CO. 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Rudy Quintana of San Antonio, CO, David (Danette)
Quintana of Ranchos de Taos, NM, Armando (Sandy) Quintana of Littleton, CO; her sisters Margaret (Chuck) Muniz of Englewood, CO; Amy Quintana of Westminster, CO.

Vickie was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Ella Quintana, her In-laws Jose and Angelina Chavez and her granddaughter Melissa Chavez.

A Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Conejos, CO on November 8, 2017 at 7 p.m. A Funeral mass will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Conejos, CO on November 9, 2017 at 10 a.m. Funeral arrangements are by Romero’s Funeral Home, Alamosa.
