Johnny Depp is headed back to Creede — or at least his signature is. An official Lone Ranger movie poster with Depp’s autograph was obtained by the Southern Colorado Film Commission after part of the movie was filmed in the Creede area in 2012. The film commission had the poster housed at ASU Community Partnerships, but since that closed this week they decided it would be fitting to let the Creede Visitor Center display the poster for a while. “Eventually the poster will be auctioned off to raise funds for the Film Commission,” said Mary Hoffman. The Southern Colorado Film Commission promotes filming in southern Colorado, particularly the San Luis Valley.  Be sure to stop by the Creede Visitor Center and check it out while it’s there!
