Vote and be in good company

Did you vote? I did. I took several days to review the ballot and the issues like wolves, health care choices, gambling and democracy.

I found the ACLU voting guide and discovered that I was in line with their take on issues; so I affixed my mark the way they had suggested.

Wildlife experts shared thoughts on the need to protect wolves being reintroduced and I thought that their position made sense to me so that knowledge directed how I voted on that issue.

By this time several days of reading and considering the issues on the ballot had passed. It was the middle of the night; so, I brewed a single cup of medium roast coffee and topped it off with Coffee Mate—hazelnut flavor because I didn’t have anymore Sweet Italian Cream flavor.

During this political hot bed, I watched a commercial by a candidate running against Diane Mitsch Bush. I wasn’t impressed much like I’m not impressed by light-headed empty words. I probably watched all the commercials. By far, I believe democrats told truths about the economy, jobs, Covid19, and health care. So I voted.

I voted. My sisters voted. My friends voted. Colleagues voted. Facebook friends voted.

CBS News (https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/celebrities-who-support-joe-biden-for-president/30/) has quite a list of celebrities voting and endorsing Biden-Harris. Alyssa Milano voted for Biden-Harris, as did Dwayne Johnson who posted to social media: “Joe, you’ve had such an incredible career, and you’ve led with such great compassion, heart, drive, and soul.”

Stephen and Ayesha Curry support Biden. “We want to ensure that our kids live in a nation that is safe, happy, healthy and fair and so this election..,” said Ayesha Curry. Then Stephen finished, “...We’re voting for Joe Biden.”

Former Tonight Show host Jay Leno said in March, already, that he is voting for “a decent man” Joe Biden.

Others voting Biden: Larry David, Jason Alexander, Cardi B., Mark Cuban, The Chicks, Michelle Kwan, Keegan-Michael Key, Howard Stern, Zooey Deschanel, Jonathan Scott, Jon Stewart, Aubrey Plaza, Common, John Legend, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Jimmy Buffett, Billie Jean King, Barbra Streisand, Jennifer Hudson, Rob Reiner, Don Cheadle, and David Crosby who posted, “I think it’s going to be the dirtiest fight since the Civil War, and I’m really glad that you are willing to take up your sword and shield, Joe, and step into the fray.”

Drew Carey of the Price is Right backs Biden, as did George Clooney, Andy Cohen, Cher, Robert De Niro, Sheryl Crow, Sarah Cooper, Shia LeBeouf, Robert Redford, Madonna, James Taylor, Ben Affleck, Dustin Hoffman, Neil Young, Wanda Sykes, George Takei, Mark Hamill, Whoopi Goldberg, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Leonardo DiCaprio, Melissa Etheridge, Mariska Hargitay, Taylor Swift, and “On the Road Again” singer Willie Nelson.

I see I’m in good company voting the Blue Ticket.  Readers, be in good company, save our democracy, vote.
