ALAMOSA — A waste tire collection day will be held for residents of Alamosa and zip code 81101 on Thursday, August 23 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. or until the maximum of 1,300 tires has been reached at the Alamosa County Road and Bridge Back Gate, 8663 County Road 109 S., Alamosa. Bring proof of address and school supply donation. Only passenger, ATV and light truck tires with no rims shall be collected for this event. No more than nine tires per vehicle are allowed to haul and drop off tires. No contamination (dirt, etc.) should be present in any collected waste tire. Commercial tire operations (tire shops/ waste tire haulers) CANNOT drop off any waste tires for this event.
