What if we truly believed in ourselves?
Have you ever given yourself permission to be the best you?
In our own limited human understanding, we often find ourselves putting God in a box and limiting Him, but the Word of God tells us that we serve a God who is unlimited in power, capacity, knowledge, being, compassion, grace and holiness. With a thousand more descriptions of our God.
What we like to do is believe few certain things so we come up with ideas that serve our purpose and therefore we limit God. It’s been said that trying to understand the fullness of God is like trying to put the whole Pacific Ocean into a glass of water. It can never happen and it will never be possible.
1 Corinthians 2:9. “But, as it is written, ‘What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him’—.
Ephesians 1:18-19. “I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of His power to us who believe. He displayed this power in the working of His mighty strength.”
Did you notice that God surpasses greatness in this verse?
This is simple, God surpasses greatness.
Job 36:22-24. (NIV) 22 “God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him? 23 Who has prescribed his ways for him, or said to him, ‘You have done wrong’? 24 Remember to extol his work, which people have praised in song. “God’s power is unlimited. He needs no teachers to guide or correct him. I like to think of this verse as God doesn’t need us to figure out His Word.
What if we believed in ourselves and in God, we are unlimited with power and potential? Why don’t we give ourselves permission to feel like we are Gods workmanship? With this idea of abundantly above all that we can ask or imagine. I know people who have felt less than because of circumstances of life. Now it can be the very thing that we are in fear of, but our circumstances now and in the past should move us forward.
We all have stories of fear, right? I don’t need to run faster then the bear, just faster than you.
It is the fear that actually gives you the boost to be faster then a world-class sprinter. You should be using the fear of failure as a booster to prove to yourself that you got this.
This should give you the motivation or give you the energy to prove to the world that you are a contender. It is okay to believe in yourself.
You may need to hang around people who believe in you more than you believe in yourself. Don’t hang around people who try and pull you down. Hang around people that want to pull you up.
Instead of saying, I’ll believe it when I see it. How about I’ll see it, when I believe it? We should reshape and renew, if it weren’t possible it wouldn’t be in the Bible.
2 Corinthians 5:7 Living Bible: “We know these things are true by believing, not by seeing.”
If we want to know what we believe let’s look at our lives. We are continually looking for what we truly believe. We can find what we truly believe, but we really have to believe.
