Wilma Irene Brace

ANTONITO — Wilma Irene Brace, 90, passed away on September 27, 2020, at Namaste’ Alzheimer’s Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Wilma was the third child of Myrtle Edna McGinnis-Broyles and Dryden Broyles, on September 15, 1930, in Antonito Colorado.

Wilma was proceeded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert S. Brace (2007), and her brothers, Leland A Broyles (2008) and Cecil D Broyles (2020).

Wilma is survived by two children, Steven N Brace of Cortez, Colorado, and Carrie Brace-Hall of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 2 grandchildren, Michael S Brace of Thornton, Colorado, and Jada Brace of Cortez, Colorado,  one great-grandchild, Stephen James Brace of Thornton,  Colorado, and several nieces and nephews.

Wilma was actively involved in square dancing, church groups, china painting and activities with her children until 2011, when she entered Alzheimer’s care in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She enjoyed outdoor activities like camping, skiing, snowmobiling, and spending time at their cabin in Legion Park with Bob and her children until 2008.

She will be laid to rest with Bob in the Monte Vista Cemetery.

Wilma was a “loving WIFE, mother and grandmother” she will be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
