Wolf Creek announces poster winners

WOLF CREEK — For more than 17 years, Wolf Creek Ski Area has sponsored the annual Safety Poster Contest.

Local elementary through high school age students, especially those participating in this year’s School Group Program, were invited to enter. School kids submitted their artwork depicting the Responsibility Code.

The contest had a good turn out and posters were displayed in the Base Camp building. Wolf Creek guests and employees enjoyed viewing the posters and voted for the winners.

Students did an excellent job drawing, painting and illustrating the Responsibility Code. The contest was divided between two divisions; kindergarten through fifth grade and sixth grade through twelfth grade. Prizes include lift tickets, lessons and rentals.

Elementary Division Winners:

1st Place – Sienna Rose, Valor Academy, Pagosa Springs

2nd Place – Bella Werby, Pagosa Peak Open School, Pagosa Springs

3rd Place – Yasmin Santiago, Bill Metz Elementary, Monte Vista

Middle/High School Division Winners:

1st Place – Evelyn Rose, Valor Academy, Pagosa Springs

Wolf Creek Ski Area would like to thank all who participated in the contest and all the children and chaperones who took part in the School Group Program this year.
