Woodward resigns from Alamosa city council

ALAMOSA– On Wednesday June 8, 2022 Councilman Kyle Woodward submitted his letter of resignation from Ward 2 effective immediately.

Councilman Woodward expresses that he must be able to dedicate and prioritize his time to his business and family during this time.

Mayor Ty Coleman said “We appreciate Councilman Woodward’s service and dedication during his time on Council. We understand the need to prioritize his business and family and wish him much success in his future endeavors.”

Councilman Woodward’s term was set to expire in November of 2026. As set forth by the City Charter, City Council will formally vote to appoint a replacement for the council’s Ward 2 seat at a future meeting to serve until the next City general election in November of 2023.
