ALAMOSA — Church Women United in Alamosa invites all women of the Valley to the 2017 celebration of World Community Day November 3 at 12 p.m. noon, at the Alamosa Presbyterian Church, Fourth and San Juan. 

This day was set aside in 1943 when women of various Christian denominations came together out of a concern for peace and unity in the midst of WWII. The celebration will begin with a brief program, focusing on interfaith relations, and conclude with a luncheon.
