ALAMOSA — Yolanda S. DeLuna, 85, left us to be with the Lord on March 7, 2020, at her home in Alamosa, CO with her family by her side.

Yolanda was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 7, 1935, to Guadalupe Sauceda and Maria Guerrero Sauceda.  In 1950 she married Roberto “Beto” DeLuna and they enjoyed more than 67 years of marriage together until his passing in 2017. 

Yolanda was primarily a homemaker but also worked for a time assisting with meal preparation for residents at the local nursing home.  Her true passion in life was her family and serving God. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and family members was the highlight of her life. Yolanda loved to cook, go to the movies, go shopping and most of all she loved to sing. Yolanda was truly a faithful servant of God.  She was never one to sit still, always active and on the go. She has left behind a beautiful legacy and her morals and values will always be instilled in our hearts. She will be truly missed, but we find comfort in knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior.

Yolanda is survived by her children: Rudy (Karen) DeLuna of Broomfield, CO, Romy DeLuna of Alamosa, Raymond (Patricia) DeLuna of Aurora, CO, Ray (Frances) DeLuna of Alamosa, Mary (Mike) Salas of Parker, CO, Alicia (John) Tona of Alamosa, Elma (Gregory) Lopez of Parker, CO, Erlinda (Harold) DeLuna-Salazar of Velarde, NM, Gilbert (Georgianna) DeLuna of Alamosa, Rennie (Shelly) DeLuna of Aurora, CO, Ralph (Janika) DeLuna of Albuquerque, NM, Christine (Melvin) DeLuna-Vigil of Alamosa and Ricky DeLuna of Alamosa; her grandchildren: Charlene (Gilberto “Beto”) Archuleta, Reuben DeLuna, Dominick DeLuna, Jerek DeLuna, Alina DeLuna, Marlene DeLuna, Jerome DeLuna, Dominic DeLuna, Audrey Garcia, Ashley (John) Martinez, Raymond DeLuna, Jr., Terrance DeLuna, Vanessa Medina, Ryan DeLuna, Robert DeLuna, Latisha DeLuna, Briana DeLuna, Tiffany DeLuna, Naomi DeLuna, Rachael (Jake) Haslage, Jonathan Tona, Jeremy Tona, Sabrina (Manuel) Lopez-Martinez, Brittany (Joshua) Haslage, Casandra Lopez, Anthony (Daliah) Diaz, Angelina DeLuna, Gilbert DeLuna, Jr., Erica DeLuna, Kelly DeLuna, Nathaniel DeLuna, Davina DeLuna, Julian DeLuna, Layla DeLuna, Leila DeLuna, Aubrey DeLuna, Mariah (Joshua) Titchener and Brandon Vigil; her siblings: Gilbert Sauceda, Anna Marie Garcia-Sauceda and Armando Sauceda-Lucero; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. 

Yolanda is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roberto “Beto”, her sons: Reuben DeLuna, Tony DeLuna, and Robert DeLuna; her granddaughters Jessica DeLuna and Adelina DeLuna, and her siblings: Francisco Sauceda, Saragoza Sauceda, Gregorio Sauceda, Hereberto Sauceda, and Rebecca Moreno.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa.  Prayers and scriptures will be held on Thursday, March 12th at 5:00 p.m. at Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa.  A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 13th at the River of Life at 2602 Clark St. in Alamosa.  Interment will follow services in the Alamosa Cemetery.
