Saguache County Tourism Council unveils new brand identity

SAGUACHE COUNTY – The Saguache County Tourism Council (SCTC) recently presented its new brand identity, marking a significant step in its ongoing efforts to enhance and promote the unique attractions of Saguache County. This new identity is a crucial part of the organization’s strategy to position the county as a premier destination within Colorado.

“Our new brand is more than just a logo; it’s a reflection of Saguache County’s vibrant spirit and natural beauty,” said Theo Boudreaux, board chair of the SCTC. “We believe this identity will help us stand out and connect more deeply with visitors from across the state and beyond.”

The brand draws inspiration from the breathtaking San Luis Valley, incorporating the rich hues of our pristine night skies, towering mountains, and sunlit days. The palette of blue, purple, orange, and yellow echoes the natural splendor of Saguache County, creating a visual identity that is both recognizable and deeply connected to the area’s landscape.

Developed as part of the Colorado Tourism Office’s Reimagine Destinations Program, this brand revamp was made possible through 100 hours of dedicated administrative support, aiming to enhance SCTC’s engagement with local tourism activities and promote responsible visitation. The program includes the new brand identity, the “Do SLV Right” campaign promoting visitor responsibility, strengthened community involvement through collaborative workshops, and improved organizational efficiency.

In addition to the rebranding efforts, the tourism council is advancing various initiatives, including the creation of a new TravelStories series, support for Dark Skies, support for the Historic Hot Springs Loop, active participation in the San Luis Valley Tourism Association, and the “Care for Colorado” program. Moreover, the council is excited to announce a $20,000 grant from the CTO to enhance trail signage across the county and install visitor kiosks in partnership with the BLM and US Forest Service.

The tourism council has grant funding available to individuals and organizations for marketing and promoting public-facing events that are held within the county.
