Kaysen Johnson of Blue Spruce 4-H Club shows the Grand Champion of the San Luis Valley Fair Market Beef Show on Thursday, Aug. 8, at the Ski-Hi Complex in Monte Vista. Johnson, 18, has shown the Grand Champion of the fair four times in his 10 years of showing. He had the Reserve Grand Champion in 2023 and the Grand Champion in 2022. His younger brother, Trace Johnson, had the Reserve Grand Champion this year. The fair’s Junior Livestock Sale was on Friday evening.
