ALAMOSA – Both the Alamosa and Monte Vista high school baseball teams were eliminated in regional play last Saturday.
Alamosa
The Mean Moose were defeated by Roaring Fork in the Class 3A Region 1 Tournament in Eaton.
The Rams scored a run in the first, fourth and seventh innings.
Alamosa had five hits with Kade Jones going 2-4 including a double.
Kade Jones was also the losing pitcher and he allowed three runs and 10 hits with four strikeouts and two walks. Michael Madril finished the game.
Alamosa finished the season with 12 wins and eight losses.
Monte Vista
Monte Vista hosted its regional tournament and it defeated Bishop Machebeuf 5-4 and lost to Burlington 10-6.
The Pirates had a final record of 17 wins and eight losses.
