ALAMOSA — Artists Katie Dokson and Bianca Maestas helped the community bring their vision to life as hundreds of community members came out to show their support and share the love last Saturday during the “The Share The Love Community Mural project”. The event was hosted by “Visit Alamosa” and held on South River Road.

According to Samantha Bogle, communications specialist with the group, those who attended “played the day away as they worked on 12 paint-by-number murals that will ultimately be proudly displayed at the Colorado Welcome Center.”

Visit Alamosa thanked all the community members who came from far and wide to participate in this project.

“We are so proud to be a part of such a generous, enthusiastic, and fun community! We are so excited for you all to see your hard work be an evergreen display in our community,” said Bogle.

The unveiling of the murals is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, at 1 p.m. at the Colorado Welcome Center, 610 State Ave., Alamosa.

“We hope to see all of you who made this project possible and bring a friend as we continue to celebrate our National Park.”
