McCullough wins award at Plein Air Artists Colorado Show

VALLEY — Susan McCullough was the recipient of the Artists Choice Award at the PAAC (Plein Air Artists Colorado) Exhibit at Mary Williams Fine Arts in Boulder. This national show will be on display at Mary Williams Fine Arts until October 7.

Plein Air Artists Colorado is a large art organization with a national membership of top artists in the country. The paintings in this nationally juried show are painted “en plein air” which means the entire painting is painted outdoors, on location. Both Susan McCullough and David Montgomery had paintings in the exhibit.

Susan’s painting that won the award is entitled “The Zapata” which was painted by the Zapata Ranch from  the Six Mile Lane.

“It is a great honor to receive the Artist’s Award which is indicative of the respect and honor your peers,” says McCullough.

She also had another painting in the show entitled “Dusty Morning in Mosca.”

Susan is represented by Sorrel Sky in Santa Fe, NM, and Wilder Nightingale in Taos, NM. She will be joining the Silver Street Gallery in Lake City starting June 2018.

Susan’s paintings can be seen at the Farmhouse Studio and Gallery in Monte Vista. She will be hosting an open studio event October 19-22.
