ALAMOSA – Debra Ann Seefeld, 65, died Thursday, July 25, 2024, at her home in Alamosa under hospice care.

Deb was born in Omaha, Neb., on Nov. 16, 1958, the proud daughter of John D. Geer, and Nancy Bratrud Roberts. She met the love of her life, Kevin Wayne Seefeld, and they were married on Jan. 14, 1984, in Omaha, Neb., and they enjoyed their 40th anniversary this year.

Deb earned her bachelor’s degree in Education from Wayne State in Nebraska. She worked in various positions, including managing Quizno’s in Alamosa, working for about nine years in landscaping, and waitressing. She most recently enjoyed making artist photos and frames, displaying them at Octoberfest in La Veta and at the market in Creede, Colo. She loved smalltown living.

Deb moved to the San Luis Valley in 2003, to be closer to the outdoors. Her passions were hunting and fishing. She caught her personal best fish in the Elephant Butte Reservoir in New Mexico.

She is survived by her husband Kevin Seefeld of Alamosa; her children Kari L. Seefeld of Alamosa, Colo., and Bryan J. Seefeld of Carbondale, Ill.; her siblings: Sally (Mel) Myers of Phoenix, Ariz., Cathy Geer of Phoenix, Ariz., Scott (Sherry) Geer of Ft. Myers, Fla., and John Roberts of Phoenix, Ariz.; her half-siblings Sean Geer, and David Geer, both of Omaha, Neb.; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Deb was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the John Zay Guest Home in Colorado Springs, Colo.
