Enrique ‘Henry’ Parra Jr.

Enrique "Henry" Parra Jr., a beacon of love and laughter, passed away on Aug. 1, 2024, in Alamosa, Colo., at the age of 44. Born on June 10, 1980, in Denver, Colo., to Enrique Parra Sr. and Sue Barrios, Henry was a man whose creative spirit and protective nature were always appreciated by his loving family. 

Henry's life was marked by his dedication to his family and his craft. He was self-employed and had a generous heart, donating to Kid’s Connection and the homeless. Henry was an artistic soul who found joy in making arts and crafts and bringing smiles to all with his goofy sense of humor. His love for his family knew no bounds, especially for his son, nieces and nephews, with whom he cherished every moment.

He is survived by his loving family, who will forever remember him as the family's protector. Though preceded in death by his father, Enrique Parra Sr., and his brother, Leonard Michael Salazar, Henry's legacy of love, creativity, and humor will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Cremation has been chosen and a Memorial Service will be held to honor his life on Friday, Aug. 9, at 10 a.m. at Rogers Family Mortuary in Monte Vista. Inurnment will follow at the Monte Vista Cemetery.
