ALAMOSA — SLV Painters present a “Gift of ART” show that will hang in Milagros Coffee in Alamosa through June.
SLV Painters are a loose association of artists who have painted with Coni Grant in the San Luis Valley Painting Classes. Grant has been teaching and supporting local artists for years in her classes at the Alamosa Recreation Center and in her studio in Alamosa.
A reception will be held on Saturday, June 8, from noon to 2 p.m. at the coffee house. Get a chance to meet the artists and vote for your favorite piece. All work will be on sale and 15% of all sales will be donated to La Puente of Alamosa.
The art will include all mediums including watercolor, acrylic, and oil. The artwork will be presented in a range of sizes to fit every wall space. The paintings will have a wide range of styles and subjects, including “Plein Air,” paintings from around the area.
Milagros has been representing and supporting local artists for years, and the SLV painters have had artwork at this venue many times. They are looking forward to continuing this tradition starting again this month.
Milagros Coffee House is at 529 Main St. in Alamosa, hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day except Sunday when they are open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
