ALAMOSA — Knowing how to use the computer to make appointments or find a job is almost a requirement these days, and the Alamosa Public Library is here to help.

Every week, starting with Oct. 22, a digital navigator will be at the library on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Fridays from 1 to 5 p.m. to help people with learning basic computer skills. And, it’s free.

Liz Paine, a digital navigator from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Workforce Center in Alamosa, will help people with general computer or internet skills, making appointments online, finding or applying for jobs online, managing money or shopping online and using email.

Booking an appointment with Paine can be done in different ways.

People can use the “Digital Navigation Services Request Form” which can be found at bit.ly/DN-Services.

If that isn’t something you already know how to do, you can send an email to digitalequity@state.co.us to schedule an appointment or simply call 720-213-8430.

Spending time with a digital navigator like Paine is an opportunity not to be missed. It will make so many tasks people have to do every day so much easier.

This program is made possible by a partnership between the Alamosa Public Library and the Workforce Center. Language translation for appointments is available.
