ALAMOSA — Monte (pictured) and Andrea Robertson were busy on Monday loading a trailer full of donations that Andrea will be driving to North Carolina to assist people impacted by Hurricane Helene. Ruthie Brown proprietor of the Green Spot in Alamosa, who Andrea said is her BFF [Best Friends Forever], has also donated items destined for North Carolina and is planning another truck load of donations. ‘Yesterday we were up on the roof, and it was hot and tiring and we were complaining and I thought, but I have a roof, it brings things into focus when you see what those people are going through. You just got to be thankful and appreciative.’
