Valorie Pamela (Villalpando) Montoya

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Valorie Pamela (Villalpando) Montoya, 53, on Aug. 11, 2024.  Valorie was born on Nov. 4, 1970, to Benjamin and Viola (Martinez) Villalpando in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Valorie was a long-time resident of Center/Monte Vista, Colo. Valorie met the love of her life Jamie and moved to Whitesboro, Texas. On Aug. 12, 2023, they got married in Monte Vista surrounded by loved ones.

Valorie loved spending time with her husband, kids, grandkids, parents, nieces, nephews, every one of her family and friends. Valorie loved to go camping, and she loved to cook, bake, listen to music, and take care of her flowers. We all know she loved her Dallas Cowboys.

Valorie was the most loving and generous person. Valorie had a laugh and smile that could light up the room. Valorie fought her battle with cancer to the very end, she was a warrior and never gave up, always so positive no matter what she was facing.

She is survived by the love of her life husband Jamie Montoya from Texas; her parents Benjamin and Viola (Martinez) Villalpando of Center, Colo.; her daughters Angelic (Ramon), Crystal, (Austin), Mitchiko (Mike), Vanessa (Juan Carlos), Falishia, bonus kids I'Yonna, Estevan, Lozenzo, and Aricela; father-In-law Jimmie Montoya; brother and sister-in-law Eric (Kandice) Montoya, Jessica Montoya, Vanessa Chavez, David Chavez, and Angela Medina.

She is survived by 14 grandchildren, Damian, Unique (Uriah), Diego, Destiny, Tony, Elizeo, Dominick, Elijah, DJ, Angel, Dashia, Darius, Marcus and Penelope; great-grandson Uziah; her maternal grandmother Mary Martinez of Center; many tio and tia's, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother Donnie Villalpando, her sister Donna Villalpando, her maternal grandfather Louis B Martinez, her tio's Glenn, and Jerry Martinez, her nephews Victor and Marcus Villalpando, Aunt Freda Martinez, her mother-in-law Elaine Montoya.

Cremation is under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, Texas.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, 2024, at the Valley Church of the Nazarene in Monte Vista, Colo. Lunch to follow in the Nazarene Hall.
