BLANCA — Blanca resident Adelina M. Espinoza, 95, passed away Dec. 25, 2019 at Veterans Community Living Center at Homelake surrounded by her loving family.

Adelina was born on March 13, 1924 to the Red Willow Tribe of Taos, N.M., the beloved daughter of Juan D. Martinez and Anita C. Cardenas-Martinez. 

Adelina was a friend to all. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers, shopping and especially the time she spent raising and caring for her family.

Survivors include five (5) daughters, Lydia Espinoza, Pueblo; Dolores Vigil, Alamosa; Angela (John) Sanchez, Fort Garland; Anita Mondragon, Blanca; and Jessica (Joseph) Perez Blanca. She also is survived by 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Anita Martinez; sister, Elvira Gonzales; and her husband, Alexander Espinoza.

A Vigil Service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa on  Monday, Dec. 30, 2019 at 6 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow at the Alamosa Cemetery in Alamosa.
