ALAMOSA — Albert DeHerrera, 89, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side. Albert came into the world on April 3, 1931, in Ortiz, Colorado, the son of Antonio DeHerrera and Censionita Vigil DeHerrera. Albert worked for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad for many years, he was an extremely hard worker. He married the love of his life, Eva Pauline Jaramillo, on June 16, 1955. They shared a long, happy and loving union until his passing. Albert was a skilled craftsman, he loved building things and work with his hands. He was also devoted to helping with church activities and ushering for the church. Above all, Albert was a family man and cherished any and all time he was able to spend with family and friends.
He will live on through his loving wife Eva DeHerrera of Alamosa, CO; daughter Shirley (Dennis) Carey of Pueblo, CO; sons Arnold (Debra) DeHerrera and Dennis DeHerrera both of Alamosa, CO and a very special niece Monica Montoya.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Censionita DeHerrera, sisters Eloisa Gallegos, Timia Manzanares, brothers Celedon DeHerrera, Solio DeHerrera, Tony DeHerrera and Juan DeHerrera.
