Anthony Joseph Taylor

FOUNTAIN — Fountain and San Luis resident Anthony Joseph Taylor went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 14, 2019. Anthony was welcomed into the world on May 10, 1956 in Alamosa, the beloved son of Eusevio Taylor and Loyola Jaramillo Taylor.

After finishing high school, Anthony went on to serve in the United States Army. Once he was honorable discharged, he was united in marriage to Norma Apodaca in June 20, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada. An amazing and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Anthony enjoyed going hunting, fishing and spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren, family and friends.

He will live on through his loving wife Norma Taylor of Fountain; daughter Angel Taylor of Colorado Springs; sons Carlos (Christy) Taylor, Moises (Krystal) Taylor both of Colorado Springs; grandchildren Isaiah Elugardo Taylor, Angelina Gutierrez, Justice Taylor all of Colorado Springs; sisters Teresa (Dan) Gibbs of Texas, Lucia (Randy) Williams of Florida, Evelyn (Bob) Woehr of Colorado Springs; brother Rick (Edna) Jaramillo of Walsenburg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents Eusevio and Loyola Taylor and one brother Moises Taylor.

Cremation was chosen and A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church in San Luis. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 at 10 a.m. also at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at the Sangre De Cristo Cemetery at a later date.
