Christopher Alan Reyes, 50, resident of Albuquerque, NM, and former resident of Alamosa, CO, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018.
Chris was a big guy with a bigger heart. He got a kick out of playing jokes and getting a rise out of others. He was a daredevil and pushed limits. Chris had a boisterous personality, which gave way to his nickname, “The Big Dog;” yet, he was also a shy, quiet, compassionate and caring person who would go above and beyond to help others in need. Chris was a devoted Raiders fan; he enjoyed the outdoors, horseshoes, fishing, arrowhead hunting, driving down the back roads with music blaring, and hanging out with friends and family. He cherished his time with his nieces and nephews.
Chris is preceded in death by his mom Josephine Garcia and nephew Gregory L Martinez Jr. He is survived by his dad Tom Reyes (Stephanie), brother Greg Martinez (Esther), sisters Agnes Cordova (Robert), Vera Manfre (Guy), Bea Nuanes, and Monica Gutierrez (James), and many nieces, nephews. Chris will be dearly missed. Our family appreciates all the thoughts and prayers that have been extended to us. Thank you.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Alamosa Cemetery. Reception will follow at noon at the Bank Shot in Alamosa.
