Del Norte resident Clara Maria Balderrama, 67, went to her eternal rest on January 13, 2019 in Pueblo, Colorado surrounded by her loving family. Clara was born on August 2, 1951 in Canoñes, New Mexico, the beloved daughter of Jose Sabiniano Lovato and Angelina Martinez Lovato. Clara was a kind and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed being outdoors, cooking, singing, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her mother Angelina Lovato of Canoñes, NM; daughters Cheryl (Marcos) Garcia of Del Norte, CO; Anita (Diego) Lopez of Las Trampas, NM; Mary Lou Balderrama of Espanola, NM; Victoria (Billy) Martinez of Albuquerque, NM; Nuvia Balderrama (Dwayne Gallegos) of Espanola, NM; Angelina Balderrama of Espanola, NM; son Frank (Louisa) Vargas Jr., of Center, CO; ex-husband Frank Vargas of Center, CO; 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, brothers Frank (Rose) Lovato of Canoñes, NM; Sabiniano (Elaine) Lobato of Farmington, NM; Emilio Lovato of Canoñes, NM; Fernando Jacquez of Espanola, NM; sisters Adelia (Luis) Montoya of Coyote, NM; Rose (Miguel) Montoya of Farmington, CO; Bonnie (Monte) Miranda of Espanola, NM; Annie (Angel) Vasquez of Medanales, NM; Martha (Lonnie) Vialpando of Canoñes, NM; Delfina (Conrad) Kerr of Edgewood, NM; Fernanda (Tim) Garcia of Chamita, NM; Terry (Martin) Lovato of Alcalde, NM; Connie Salazar of La Mesilla, NM; Adelires (Anselmo) Jacquez of Gallina,

NM. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Clara was preceded in death by her father Jose Sabiniano Lovato, sons Frank Jr. I, Myron Vargas, Patrick Vargas I, Patrick Vargas II, one grandson, two great-granddaughters. 

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 7:00 PM at St. Francis Jerome Catholic Church in Center. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:00 AM also at St. Francis Jerome Catholic Church in Center.
