San Luis resident Daniel Ben Garcia, 77, passed away April 15, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Daniel was born on March 26, 1941 in San Acacio, Colorado, the beloved son of Benjamin Garcia and Eduarda Bedan Garcia. Daniel was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who enjoyed riding horses, fast cars and spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his daughter Donna Garcia of Colorado Springs, CO; Paul (Josette) Garcia, Danny (Rita) Garcia both of Colorado Springs, CO; Michael Troy Garcia, Leonard (Elizabeth) Garcia, Scotty (Crystal) Garcia all of San Luis, CO; 21 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sisters Liziada Mondragon, Jane (Doug) Green, Julie (Tony) Villareal all of Colorado Springs, CO; Margie Elliot of Orange County, CA; brothers Bianes (Geraldine) Garcia, Richard (Karen) Garcia both of San Luis, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Eduarda Garcia, sisters Mary Ferrer, Velma Garcia, Veronica Garcia, brothers Floyd J. Garcia and Charlie J. Garcia,

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 6:00 PM at the Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 10:00 AM also at the Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the San Acacio Cemetery.
