David “Beto” A. Trujillo, 75

Manassa resident David “Beto” A. Trujillo, 75, passed away April 19, 2018 at his home under Hospice Care with his loving family by his side. David was born on June 10, 1942 in Sanford, Colorado; the beloved son of Jose Albino Trujillo and Mary Tomasita Lopez Trujillo. He was united in marriage to Elsie Gonzales on April 6, 1968 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The two shared a long and happy union of 50 years. They had a big celebration in April of this year at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Conejos. David was an outdoorsman. He loved going fishing, hunting and was an avid Denver Bronco’s fan. His greatest joy in life came from the time he was able to spend with his family and friends.  He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife Elsie Trujillo of Manassa, CO; daughters April (Fred) Dominguez, Cleo (Esteven) Montoya both of Manassa, CO; Vanessa (Manuelito) Darrell of Albuquerque, NM; son Bryan (Stacy) Trujillo of Manassa, CO; 9 grandchildren, sisters Effie Espinoza of Albuquerque, NM; Cecilia (Joe) Martinez of Chula Vista. CA; brothers Albino (Stella) Trujillo of Alamosa, CO; Rudy (Helen) Trujillo of Romeo, CO; Michael Trujillo, Archie Trujillo, Johnny Trujillo all of Antonito, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Mary Trujillo, daughter Eunice Marie Trujillo and three sisters Margie Gomez, Betty Marquez and Linda Gutierrez.

A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Manassa Cemetery.
