Our beloved Dawn Dixon, 52, was called home on May 19, 2023, as a tragic result of a car accident. Dawn was welcomed into the world on March 15, 1971, in California, the daughter of Jack Dixon and Carol Martin.

After she graduated high school, she went on to work as a motel manager for many years. She loved interacting with people and will always be remembered for her outgoing personality as well as being kind and compassionate to everyone. In her free time, Dawn enjoyed going camping, going to country concerts, and she loved going to the swimming pool and spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren.

She will live on through her Husband Gary Odom of San Luis, Colo.; daughters Richelle Herndon of La Jara, Colo.; Amber Odom of Manassa, Colo.; three grandchildren, sister Kathleen (Scott) Johnson of Nevada, and brothers Norman (Crystal) Johnson, Johnny (Tia) Johnson, and Michael Johnson all of California. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents as well as both sets of grandparents.

Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Old Scotties Restaurant located at 404 Main St., La Jara, CO 81140.
