Donna Fritzsche, nee Shepherd, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019.  She was 76. Donna was born March 28, 1943, and was a life-long resident of the Chicago-area, settling in South Holland with her husband Jim, who preceded her in death.  She was an accomplished secretary, retiring from the Mitchell Corporation and was a member of Village Church in Dyer, Indiana.

Her greatest joy was spending time with family and regularly met with her sisters and friends for “coffee” — a chance to visit with each other and catch up. She regularly spent time with her daughter in Alamosa and had a wide circle of friends there, as well.She especially enjoyed taking day trips to new places, and spending time in localy owned shops and galleries.

She is survived by two children, Kristine (John) Taylor of Alamosa and James (Theresa) of Lansing, Illinois; three grandchildren, Katharine Reed Taylor, Amanda Fritzsche and Jacob Fritzsche; sisters Linda (Brand) Jasik and Debbie (Duane) George; three nephews, and many friends.
