Elizabeth “Sharon” Oringdulph

ALAMOSA — Elizabeth “Sharon” Oringdulph peacefully passed away July 29, 2019 in Alamosa. She is preceded in death by her eternal companion George “Major” Oringdulph and her mother Mildred Woodham, and other family members.

She is survived by her three sons: Eric Oringdulph of Kentucky, George (Cyndi) Oringdulph of Alamosa and Jon ( Jennifer) of North Carolina; along with grandkids and great-grandkids.

Sharon and Major married in 1958 after a double date with friends and a short courtship.  They spent 60 years together helping anyone in need, sharing their talents with others and serving three missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sharon loved to serve others, paint, crochet, read, and was well known for her cross-stitch. She was always kind and generous to anyone she met. She was also the mom known for her cooking. It was common to have neighborhood kids at the house for dinner.

Although she is gone, Sharon will never be forgotten. Her memory and kindness will live on in the lives and memories of those who were blessed to know and love her.

Funeral arrangements are in care of Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa. Services will be held at the Mortuary on Tuesday, August 6, at 10 a.m. with a viewing before at 9 a.m.  Interment will follow services in the Mesita Cemetery.
