Irene Josephine Specker Tolliver

Irene Josephine Specker Tolliver lived a long and treasured life of 97 years, 11 months and 10 days.  She was our cherished Mom, Grandma, Grammy, Sis, Aunt, friend, mentor, confidant and so much more. Irene’s life began on March 11, 1921. Thankfully, she passed away in her home just as she had wished, surrounded by her beloved family, on February 21, 2019.  Mom suffered a broken hip in her home on February 2nd.  She had successful surgery, but unfortunately, was simply too fragile to recover.  She was truly loved and respected by her spiritual family as a dedicated and faithful Witness for Jehovah for 66 years. Mom is survived by son David Lee & Margaret Tolliver of Center, Colorado; daughter Mary Sue & Irvin Curley of Sanford, Texas; daughter Diane Fay & Frank Kosek of Grand Junction, Colorado; son Charles Robert & Deborah Tolliver of Fallbrook, California; and son Jerry Dean & Mary Anne Tolliver, of Parker, Colorado.  Her loss is also mourned by her 14 surviving grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband Loren Glenn in 1968 and precious granddaughter Leanne Sue Curley in 2003.

Her Memorial will be at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Monte Vista Co. on march 2nd at 1:30pm.

Rogers Family Mortuary of Monte Vista is in care of the arrangements. To leave online condolences or remarks for Irene’s family, please visit www.RogersFunerals.com
