Ivan Wade Jones, 64, passed away at his home in Fort Garland, Colorado. He was born in Alamosa and attended school there until 1968 when his parents Paul and Jane Jones moved to Center, Colorado where he graduated in 1972. He furthered his education at TSJC in gunsmithing and then continued his education at Adams State College in business. Ivan worked with his parents and brother in the family business. Ivan left the family business and later built his cabin in the Fort Garland area doing mountain excavating. Ivan enjoyed hunting and fishing and nature.

Ivan was not married, and his parents Paul and Jane preceded him in death. His brother Maurice Jones survives him along with one niece and nephew. And his dog HOBO.

Ivan’s wishes were cremation and services will be announced at a later date.
