CENTER  — Jane Velasquez, 73, went to her eternal rest on May 22, 2020 at her home under Hospice Care with her loving family by her side. Jane was born on December 30, 1946 in Center, Colorado, the daughter of Ted Jacquez and Carmel Gonzales Jacquez. Working most of her life as a home health care provider, Jane dedicated her life to not only caring and tending the needs of others but her family as well. An exceptional and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who enjoyed cooking, fishing and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She will live on through her daughter Angela (Moses) Velasquez of Alamosa, CO; sons Dillon Velasquez  Ben Velasquez both of Center, CO; grandchildren Joey (Sarah) Rodriguez, Vanessa Velasquez, Sydney Velasquez, Robert Rodriguez, Steven Velasquez, Chantel Vargas, Meliton Vargas, Katelyn Velasquez, Tayiah Velasquez, 14 great-grandchildren, sisters Abby (Jim) Sanchez of Center, CO; Judy (Dave) Arellano of Pueblo, CO; brothers Gene Jacquez of Denver, CO; Norman Jacquez of Alamosa, CO; Harold Jacquez of Center, CO. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents Ted and Carmel Jacquez, husband Dillon Velasquez, sisters June Sierra and Carol Jaramillo.
