ALAMOSA — Joaquin “Jack” Cantu, 63, passed away at his home in Alamosa on Tuesday Feb. 4, 2020.

He was a beloved member of the community and will be missed dearly. He was born on the 27th of October in 1956 to Joaquin Sr. and Esther.

He married his best friend Diane, who was the love of his life. Together they had a daughter, Angelina.

Joaquin was proceeded in death by his parents, Joaquin Sr. and Esther; his wife, Diane; brother, Roger Cantu; and a sister Irene Cantu.

He is survived by his daughter, Angelina (Michael) Nincehelser; grandchildren, R.J., Brooklyn, and Mikaela; the children he considered his own, Adonias and Solé Cantu; siblings ,Pablo (Jill) Cantu, Ruth (Jeff) Aragon, Rachel Cantu, Nathan Cantu, Connie Cantu, Lupe (Dave) Lujan, Liz ( AL ) Montoya; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family has chosen cremation and will be announcing services at a later date.
