Alamosa resident Jose I. Rodriguez, 78, passed away May 22, 2018 peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side. Jose was born on February 20, 1940 in Colima Jalisco, Mexico; the son of Isabel Rodriguez and Maria Espinoza. Jose enjoyed playing pool, going for rides, playing poker, watching T.V., and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include the mother of his children Maria D. Rodriguez of Monte Vista, CO; daughter Monica (Manuel) Paez of Alamosa, CO; sons Jose (Cristina) Rodriguez of Alamosa, CO; Paul (Nicole) Rodriguez of Center, CO; Christopher Rodriguez of Monte Vista, CO; 23 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many friends.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents Isabel and Maria Rodriguez.

Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
