Kevin Eugene Medina, a beloved individual who exemplified a deep love for electronics and brought joy to those around him, has sadly passed away on Jan. 28, 2024, in Del Norte, Colo. He was born on Oct. 6, 1969, in Alamosa, Colo.

Kevin's journey into the world of electronics was one that came naturally to him. After spending some time in the telecom industry, he developed an immense love for this field. His career flourished as he delved deeper into the intricacies of electronics, leaving an indelible mark on those he worked with.

Graduating from Del Norte High School in 1988, Kevin embarked on a path that would shape his future. Alongside his studies, he dedicated himself to honing his skills in welding.

Described as witty and funny by those who knew him well, Kevin's infectious laugh and sense of humor brought immeasurable joy to countless lives. His presence could light up a room and put a smile on anyone's face. Notably charismatic and quick-witted, he had an extraordinary ability to uplift others with a simple joke or anecdote.

Kevin was an avid sports fan. His unwavering support for the Broncos, Lakers, and Nascar demonstrated his spirited enthusiasm for athletics. Attending concerts and immersing himself in music were also cherished pastimes.

He leaves behind a deeply saddened circle of family and friends who will forever hold his memory dear. Among his deceased loved ones are Eva Archuleta (Grandmother), Steve Sanchez (Uncle), Jullian Sanchez (Cousin), and Ted Rivera (Stepfather).

Kevin's legacy lives on through his surviving family members and close friends, who will carry forward the joy and laughter he brought into their lives. His beloved mother who he lived his life for and never left her side, Diane Rivera; Jim Medina (father); his beloved sister, Denise Rivera; step-siblings, John Paul Rivera, Eli Medina, Vicki Perales and Ali Leyba, his beloved aunts, Joyce Medina, Debbie Silva, Judy Garcia, Olivia Medina, Rita Duffy; his beloved Uncles, Jasper Sanchez, Mike Sanchez, Jim Sanchez, Kenny Sanchez, Dennis Sanchez, Alex Medina, David Medina, and Danny Medina; they will forever cherish the memories they shared with Kevin.

The services to honor and celebrate Kevin's life will be held on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Monte Vista, Colo. A Memorial Mass will commence at 1 p.m. with inurnment at the Plaza cemetery. We come together as a community to share our grief and commemorate the wonderful life that Kevin led.

In honoring Kevin Eugene Medina's memory, let us remember his immense contributions to the world of electronics and the everlasting impact he had on those fortunate enough to have known him. He was always friendly and loved to have a good time, a night out with him resulted in a hangover the next morning with lots of laughs!
