Kimberly Wert-Baker, 50

MONTE VISTA — On Jan. 27, 2020 Kimberly Wert-Baker, 50, passed away suddenly in Colorado Springs. She was born June 19, 1969 in Alamosa, to Doug and Judy Wert. 

Kimi enjoyed her dinners and gambling nights with her kids, visiting family in Monte Vista and those always fun shopping trips.  She also enjoyed spending time with friends. 

Her bright smile and budding personality that filled the room whenever she walked in, will be missed by all. 

Kimi enjoyed her work as a WIC Tech with El Paso County for 16 years.

She is survived by her sons, Dalton and Logan Baker; her mother, Judy Wert; sister, Connie (Terry) VanBibber; nephews, T.J. (Skyla) VanBibber, Trent VanBibber; great nephews, Asher and Ryder VanBibber; as well, as several aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members.

Kimi was preceded in death by her father, Dough Wert; her sister, Tandi Wert; maternal grandparents, Tommy and Alberta Hart; her paternal grandparents, Wilma and Leland Wert; as well as her great-grandmother, Elsie Goad.

Cremation was selected and a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday Feb. 1, 2020 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Monte Vista. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and may be made in care of the funeral home office.
