MANASSA — Lifetime Manassa resident, L. Scott Sowards, passed away Sunday Dec. 22, 2019, peacefully at his home at the Bridge.

He was born on Jan. 15, 1962 to Larry and Sharon Sowards.

Scott spent his entire adult life as a postal worker for the United States Postal Service. In his free time, he loved to travel and take photographs of the places he went to.

Scott is survived by his mother, Sharon; siblings Debra (Keith) Sowards Cerny of Alamosa, Bryan (Terese) Sowards of Alamosa, Lori Sowards of Pleasant Grove, Utah, and Kirk Sowards of Manassa; and numerous nieces and nephews. Scott was proceeded in death by his father Larry.

Services will be held at the New Manassa Cemetery on Saturday Dec. 28, 2019 at noon.

The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the staff at the Bridge for taking such good care of Scott.
