Lucia "Lucy" Patricia Benavides died on 10-22-2018 at age 55, born in Del Norte, Co to Agapito Geronimo Benavides and Eva Maria Marquez Benavides. She was skilled at many crafts among those were embroidery, sewing, quilting, beading jewelry, cooking and working with flowers both in her home and outside, also she enjoyed cruising with her friends in our big town of Del Norte. Lucy was active in her church; she especially liked raising funds for the New Life Fellowship Church to help missions in our area and in 3rd world countries; yearly the church raises funds to help build homes, schools and put in water wells to give clean water- She went to Chili in South America and loved the experience. When family had celebrations, weddings, graduations, birthdays, anniversaries or other she was always ready to join in our celebrations - she knew how to celebrate life! Surviving are sisters Ramona (Henry) Peña, Vicki (Gilbert) Allarid, Joanne (Terry) Lenertz, Marvine (Gilbert) Madril, half sister Frances and Many nephews and nieces. Preceding in death father Agapito Benavides, mother Eva Benavides, sister Katherine Benavides and brother Joseph Benavides, nephews Jerry Valdez, and Lawrence Benavides. Services for Lucy are on Friday October 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM at New Life Fellowship in Del Norte, Co Inurnment will follow at Del Norte Cemetery.
