LA JARA — La Jara resident Luke Isaiah Jaramillo, 31, went to his eternal rest on November 6, 2019 in Alamosa, Colo.

Luke made his grand entrance into the world on October 25, 1988 in Santa Fe, N.M., the beloved son of Darryle Jaramillo and Jennifer Montoya Jaramillo.

After finishing high school, Luke enlisted and served in the United States Air Force.

He loved going fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle, cooking and spending time with his family and friends.

His greatest joy in life came from the time he spent with his six beloved nephews. Gone too soon but never forgotten!

He will live on through his parents Darryle and Jennifer Jaramillo of La Jara; nephews Tyson Jaramillo, Tyler Jaramillo, Kingston Jaramillo, Myles Jaramillo of Manassa, Colo.; Jayden Jaramillo, Jaxon Jaramillo of La Jara; paternal grandparents Julian and Lupe Jaramillo of Pojoaque, N.M.; Claudine Romero (Charles Manchego) of La Jara; brothers Ryan Jaramillo (Whitney Smith) of Manassa, Colo.; Jacob Jaramillo of La Jara. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Luke was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Amos and Mary Montoya.

Cremation was chosen and a Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 10 a.m. also at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Inurnment will be held at a later date..
