Longtime valley resident Margaret Kathyrn Korpi, 55, passed away on November 6, 2018.  She was born on January 19, 1963 in Del Norte, Colorado to Robert Paul Hosselkus and Yvonne Ann Schmidt-Hosselkus.  Margaret grew up in Creede, graduating from Creede High School.  She went on to attend Adams State College.  Margaret spent 15 years providing Farmers Insurance to the valley through Denton Insurance Agency in Alamosa.

She is survived by her children, Frederick (Jessica) Korpi of Canton, Ohio, Casey Korpi of Denver, Colorado and Phillip (Felicia) Korpi of Spokane, Washington, her grandchildren, Blaiden, Adilene and Kallie Korpi, as well as her mother, Yvonne Hosselkus and her siblings, Robert Hosselkus, Elizabeth Curry, Fred Hosselkus and Linda Heikes as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her father Robert Paul Hosselkus.

Cremation was selected and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday November 11, 2018 at the Sunnyside Church in Creede, located at 150 Bea McClure Drive.  Contributions are suggested to the Akron Childrens Hospital and may be made in care of the funeral home office.  To express condolences, please visit www.rogersfunerals.com
